When 55-year-old Ineke gets into menopause, she falls into a deep depression. The prescribed antidepressants cause a severe manic episode in her. Her psychiatrists don’t believe her condition is caused by hormones, as she had experienced during puberty when the same mood disorder hit her. A forced admission to a closed psychiatric ward may be necessary. Together with her niece and filmmaker Wendelien Voogd, they search for a treatment that is more oriented towards the female body.
